Online Classes – Spring 2021

New classes start from Tuesday 6th April 2021. Register by 31st March and benefit from the early bird discount.

We record all our lessons, you will always be able to catch up if you miss the lesson

BEGINNERS FLAMENCO

For those willing to give flamenco a go. No previous experience required.

Mondays 7.45-8.45 pm / 7 weeks 

Starting on 12th April / Last lesson on 24th May 

Fees: £56 for 7 weeks if registered by 31st March , £65 after. 

ELEMENTARY FLAMENCO

For those with some dance experience that are not complete beginners

Tuesdays 7.45-8.45 pm/  7 weeks

Starting on Tuesday 13th April/ Last lesson on 25th May 

Fees: £56 for 7 weeks if registered by 31st March , £65 after. 

IMPROVERS FLAMENCO 

For those with at least 1-2 years dance experience

Wednesdays 6.30-7.30 pm – 7 weeks

Starting on Wednesday 7th April/ Last lesson on 26th May 

Fees: £64 for 8 weeks if registered by 31st March , £75 after. 

LOW INTERMEDIATE FLAMENCO

For those with at least 3 years dance experience

Mondays 6.30-7.30 pm / 7 weeks 

Starting on 12th April / Last lesson on 24th May 

Fees: £56 for 7 weeks if registered by 31st March , £65 after. 

INTERMEDIATE FLAMENCO

For those with at least 5 years dance experience

Wednesdays 7.35-8.35 pm- 7 weeks 

Starting on Wednesday 14th April/ Last lesson on 26th May 

Fees: £56 for 7 weeks if registered by 31st March , £65 after. 

 

BEGINNERS CASTANETS COURSE 
Learn how to play castanets from scratch. This course is also good for those with some castanets experience at a beginner level.
Thursdays  7.30-8.30 pm 7 weeks
Starting on 15th April / last lesson on 27th May
Fees: £56 for 7 weeks if registered by 31st March , £65 after, £70 on the start date
Handouts provided. We record all lessons so if you miss you can catch up!

CASTANETS ON CHOREOGRAPHY

For those able to play castanets.

Tuesdays 6.30-7.30 pm/  7 weeks

Starting on Tuesday 13th April/ Last lesson on 25th May 

Fees: £56 for 7 weeks if registered by 31st March , £65 after.

Is it possible to join once the course has started?
Yes!!!! We record all the lessons so we can send you the catch up videos
Can I do a trial class before committing to the full course?
Yes you are welcome to book an individual class.
I am unable to connect live to the lesson, can I follow the course with the recordings?
Yes you can
How do I join the live lesson?
In order to join the lessons you will need a zoom account. You can use your laptop (needs to have a camera), mobile phone or ipad.
How do I register? 
Send us an email. If you do not hear from us please email us again.
What happens if I miss one class?
We can send you the recording. In fact some students follow the course using the videos as they are unable to attend at the time of the lesson.

PRIVATE CLASSES

Online private classes (one to one) are available upon request.

FLAMENCO SHOP 

We have castanets and silencers for sale that we can post or deliver to you. We also have flamenco skirts, shoes, fans and shawls. We want to make sure our students have the appropriate gear for the lesson.

SEVILLANAS

We are planning a sevillanas online class as well as sevillanas refreshers. Email us if interested.

Regular in studio class timetable

Please notice that due to Covid19 there are no regular classes running at the studio at the moment. We will be running weekend workshops from Saturday 22nd May at the Urdang Academy, near Angel Tube Station. For more info please contact us. 

Our classes are held in professional venues in Central London (Covent Garden, Euston. Kings Cross). If the course/level you’re interested in has already begun, you might still be able to join, and we will arrange for a catch-up session if necessary – please contact us for advice.

Sevillanas: we will be running a sevillanas course October 2021. Register your interest by emailing sevillanas@ilusionflamenca.co.uk.

Which level is right for me?

We offer weekly regular classes for all levels.  if you’re in any doubt of which one is the right for you, don’t hesitate to contact us.

We understand that choosing the right course can seem a daunting task but please do not be discouraged by the number of levels on offer – they merely reflect our students’ diversity! If you are not sure which level to attend, contact us for advice. We will normally recommend that you try a couple of classes until you find the one that suits your needs. Once your teacher gets to see you in action they will be better able to advise on which class is the best for you.

Complete beginners: for those interested in getting started in flamenco. No previous experience required.

Elementary beginners: for those who have studied flamenco a minimum of 6 months to a year.

Improvers: for those who have danced flamenco for at least 2 years

Low intermediate: for those who have danced flamenco for at least 3 years

Intermediate: for those who have danced flamenco for at least 4 years

High intermediate: for those who have danced flamenco for at least 5 years

I've missed the first lesson of the course. Can I join anyway?

In most cases, yes. If you’re in doubt, contact us and we’ll be able to advise. If necessary, we can arrange for catch-up sessions to allow you to join later.
