Tangos – Beginners/Improvers
In this class you will learn Tangos. The lyrics of the song are the poem of famous Spanish poet Federico Garcia Lorca, “Verde que te quiero verde”. This is the perfect choreography for those getting started in flamenco. You will practice technique exercises at the beginning of the lesson.

Intermediate “Caracoles with fan”The first part of the class will be Intermediate footwork technique followed by a beautiful Caracoles choreography with fan with live guitar.

Short and dynamic choreography that will allow you to perform with Ilusion Flamenca this summer!!! learn the basics of using a hat.

Improvers “Alegrias”
During the first half hour students will reinforce the basic footwork & arms technique going a bit further. In the second hour students will learn a lovely “Alegrias” choreography. This class is accompanied by live guitar. This is not an absolute beginners class although some new beginners are able to easily follow. If you are a complete beginner we advice you to attend the Monday class at the Place. If you can’t make the Monday class then try out the Thurday one.

Intermediate Tientos & Technique.
During the first hour you will learn a “Tientos” choreography. "Tientos” is one of the most popular flamenco rhythms.

During the second hour we will work on feet and arms technique for Tientos. Both classes are accompanied by live guitar.

Alabina Rumba
Beautiful Rumba choreography to a beautiful song in Arabic/Spanish. Those sucessfully learning the full choreo will be invited to perform with Ilusion Flamenca this summer.

Exit Covent Garden tube station on the Piccadilly Line, turn right towards Covent Garden Piazza. Go around the square clockwise and look for the Transport Museum. Jubillee hall is on the right hand side of the museum, in the corner with Tavistock Terrace, above the public toilets. Go up the stairs and ask at reception for Studio 2.

If you can’t see it please ring the Gym on the number above and they will direct you once you are in the Piazza.

From King’s Cross Station exit to Euston Road. The venue is behind the building opposite the British Library. There is a “Premier Travel Inn” in the corner of Euston Road/Duke’s Road.

From Euston Station exit to Euston Road (towards the bus station) then you will see St. Prancras church opposite to you. Walk towards the church, and then you will see the “Premier Travel Inn” in the corner Euston Road/Duke’s Road.

If you arrive after 6pm the main entrance in Duke’s Street will be probably closed. In that case go around the building (if you stand in front of the main entrance you need to walk towards your right) and you will find the back entrance to the building in Flaxman Terrace. We are in Studio 7.

There is a changing room and showers you can use at The Place. Ask for the code at reception.
